When beauty brands select models for their advertisements, they comply with distinct principles. Some appear for girls whose faces are like a blank canvas exactly where something can be painted on. Other people choose models with prominent facial characteristics to convey the uniqueness of the solution. But all advertisements have one particular factor in common: even if we think that a model barely has any makeup on her face, in reality, there are a few layers of makeup. And it is actually tough to figure out what their organic face truly appears like.
When we at Vibrant Side came across but one more beauty ad, we concluded that it is not possible to evaluate the good quality of the advertised goods simply because we don’t know what the girls in these advertisements actually appear like and how drastically their makeup transformed their organic beauty. That is why we decided to analyze the models who became the faces of popular beauty brands to see what they actually appear like without having foundation, concealer, highlighter, and other makeup goods.
